Coil problem

#1

Post by 1955fle »

After much tinkering on my '55FL I believe that the coil is not producing. Is there a way to test it? If it is bad where is a good source to replace it?

Thanks
Carl

Yes there are testing procedures but, they sometimes act up when warm and the testing procedures are done when system not on , of course. You can test primary and secondary resistance with an ohm meter . Finding the proper specs can be challenging.
Get or barrow one you know is working correctly and try it and see if it changes . If looking for replacement , NOS parts in Ohio, JP cycle are just two of many to get coils from.
