Anyone with any experience getting the Spyke ignition to work with a pan?

This has been a complete PITA to get to work.

Now that might depend on which Spike ign. you have . Some here are running them and should speak up . If you don't have the instruction sheet you can check there web sight or call them . What is the problem ? Won't start , running rough , no power ,etc.

Spyke ignition on a pan

#3

Post by Paughco »

Hi guys:

My pan has a Spyke electronic ignition. It has always worked like a champ. Had to get a special coil.

The ignition is a Dual-fire Part # SPDFMSK. By "dual-fire" I mean the old-style that fires both cylinders each time the coil discharges.

Unfortunately I didn't install it, so I can't provide first-hand info. Toni Froehling of Sumner, WA installed it. He said it was very straightforward and went exactly as called out in the instructions.
