does anybody use a silicon like RTV to seal the exhaust. i am talking at the spigots and the slip joints on the s or crush pipe

Yes, I use high temp silicone to help seal the spigots and the slip joints. The O2 sensor safe version is best, as the acetic (sp?) acid released by the other stuff can cause corrosion, although I haven't seen it happen.

high temp sealant works, it beats using gorilla snot.

I've used the copper goop sealant (can't remember name...) with success. It seems to stay in place and remain somewhat resilient under awful conditions.

Ultra-copper. Damn, it takes the brain a few minutes to pull these things up!
