exhaust for STD heads

#1

Post by Panhead Dave »

Hello Guys,

I will be recieving my Pan soon........I would like to change the exhaust to a true dual system......what are my options for the junction between the header pipe and the exhaust manifold outlets? All of the Pan exhausts that I have seen are made to fit over the original exhaust spigots. Would a shovel head pipe work? I would like to take advantage of the three bolt exhaust manifold system but can find none that are compatible? Paughco only carries the three bolt gaskets but nothing else according to the web site.

Thanks

Dave

I'm running STD (Pan)3 bolt heads Dave, I just cut new flange plates from 3/16 mild steel plate, carefully removed the shovel 1 (wheres the exhaust bolt gone type), and wire welded the new 3 bolt flanges on ,the 1 bolt shovel pipes will line up with the 3 bolt heads, but look like someone was too lazy to fit the correct ones, lol luckilly , I have pot belly black pipes.
