i made up this intake manifold - carb support bracket for my old pan head. its cnc made so tolerances are exact. i have to make my 2 - 90 degree bends yet to go over to the top engine mount, this will happen first of the week. seal is a rubber O-ring in a machined groove.anybody needs one i,ll make you one also as i saved the program on my cnc mill.

nicely done Bob! It should work quite well holding up that Super E. Please post some pictures of the finished bracket.

Re: my s&s carb-manifold support bracket
I would also like to see pictures of this mount once it is mounted on the engine. I have the same carb and intake on my pan, but I had to use the one inch spacer also to move the carb out farther so the air cleaner would work. Scott

Re: my s&s carb-manifold support bracket
Bob,
Nice work....neat to have a CNC milling machine of your own...
Mine is a little hobby mill, all manual feeds.
I also have a S&S E shorty that was given to me sitting in the basement just waiting for something to come along.
Would ya care to make another one of those brackets?? PM.
George

Re: my s&s carb-manifold support bracket
heres the carb support bracket bent, alls that is lacking now is cutting correct length to top engine mounting point, drilling hole and finish polishing before chrome plating.

Re: my s&s carb-manifold support bracket
Looks nice but strikes me as just one more place for an air leak. The engine vibration will be transmitted right to the joint, and right where you do not want it. There is a reason carb supports went to air cleaner housing or other non sealed areas.

O-RINGS DONT LEAK......... THATS WHY S&S USES THEM AS MOST HI-END MACHINERY DOES
