Which is bigger: your fuel line or the main jet?

A 1/4" line is already 10 times the area of both jets.

ANYBODY KNOW OF ANYONE WHO MAKES 90 DEGREE FUEL LINE INLET FITTING FOR THE S&S "E" WONDER WHY THEY PUT IN A STRAIGHT FITTING. SURE WOULD MAKE PLUMBING THE FUEL LINE ALOT EASYER.

S&S makes a fuel line with a 90 degree bend at the carb end. I thought they shipped them with the kits.

S&S makes a FUEL LINE WITH A 90 DEGREE BEND AT THE CARB END to accommodate the straight down fitting.
Mine came with the kit.

Panshovevo, I just went on S&S web site and looked for a 90 degree fitting and could not find one for a super E carb. If you could post a link or something that would be great, because I also have been looking for one. Thanks Scott
I realized you said fuel line and not fitting after I wrote the post, but do you still think you could point me in the right direction? Thanks again. Scott

MY "E" KIT CAME WITH A RUBBER LINE AND IT HAS A 90 DEGREE MOLDED BEND ON THE END. I,AM SURE S&S DID THIS SO YOU WOULD HAVE TO COME BACK TO THEM TO GET THE LINE AND WITH THIS ALKY IN OUR GAS NOW EVERY YEAR OR 2 WELL BE NEEDING A NEW LINE. GOOD FOR THEM, BAD FOR US.

I have been running the same one on my Evo for three years now, with no sign of deterioration.BCOWANWHEELS wrote:MY "E" KIT CAME WITH A RUBBER LINE AND IT HAS A 90 DEGREE MOLDED BEND ON THE END. My Pan came with a Super E, with the same straight fitting, but someone had put a piece of standard straight fuel hose on it. I just put that carb on my Shovel, to replace the Super B it came with, same straight fitting, also with a piece of straight hose.
Panbagger, do you want the part number for the 90 degree hose? If so, it is 19-0475.
Regards,
John
Edited to add that since the fuel inlet is also the seat for the needle valve, it would be difficult to make it a 90 degree fitting due to it's proximity to the float bowl. I gather that at one time, they made a 360 degree swivel fitting, but they tended to leak.
