Re: Quality Linkert Venturi
Bob!
Perhaps one out of fifty OEM venturies has not shrank over the years, leaving them loose in the bore.
Colony unfortunately copied them undersize for early productions that are still on the market, but I have recently received a couple that were greatly improved.
OEM can be swaged oversize and lathe-cut with care, and billet aluminum such as Colony's can be swaged with greater effort, but beware that generic cast aluminum venturies such as V-TWIN's will split in a heartbeat.

I picked up a relatively bare m74b casting to use on my 64, sans Venturi. I've been using the old venturi from my m35. I've read the posts in regard to the Colony venturies from years past. Cotten's post suggesting the recent ones from Colony are better is heartening. From what I can tell, my choices are Colony and possibly the ITW guy , as I don't think he sells Colony made parts. Don't know of any different source/manufacturer. Heck, For all I know ITW and Colony may source these from the same place.
