1450!
Copper mesh, of course!
(Steel lacks the necessary electrostatic properties.)
A distant second choice would be K&N paper, although some fuels destroy their binding, (and do not seal well within the earlier J-slot covers without an adapter). Foam filters are cheaper, but the fuel eats them much more quickly, making them 'disposable'.
Many vendors carry all of them.

Re: linkert air filters
I've been using a paper filter (like 70s US automobiles) that is for a lawn mower, available at Home Depot.
Fits well.
Is that bad?

Re: linkert air filters
I tried one of those auto air filters and it restricted the air flow so badly that I couldn’t even ride the bike. The K&N filter cost more but works fine for me.

Schwee!
If you can tune for it, it can't be too bad.
I tried an Onan 7" filter once, and the machine would not even start.

Virtually any oil should do, although I use Marvel Mystery Oil for one simple reason:
When it drools from the bottom, you can tell it is not the engine leaking!
Please post me direct at Liberty@npoint.net for DURABLE floats, and other carburetor and manifold services.
Thanks!
