Book setting for your M-88 low speed adjust (Idle jet) is 5 turns from the bottom. This is with the choke off. Turn it in all the way, slowly, until it stops. Then, back it out 5 turns. Crank it up, choke on, as you have before. As it warms up, ease the choke off, a notch at a time. Then, when it has warmed up enough to run without the choke, turn the low speed in, in small increments until it starts to run rough. Then, back it out until it runs smooth, again. Then, back out 1/4 turn, additional. This should be just right for normal operation. There is no adjustment on your high speed, unless it's been modified. All you low speed adjustments need to be made at a moderate to fast idle, adjusted by the throttle lever stop screw at the back of the carburetor on the throttle shaft, where the carb attaches to the manifold.
