The white foam float on my Linkert crumbled apart a few months ago so I ordered a brass float from an online store.
Man, I couldn't ever get it right.
Always either flooding or starving. Hard starts, weak acceleration, gas pouring out, you name it.
I didn't even want to ride the old Pan because I know what a hassle I was in for.
This forum directed me to Cotten's magical "Durable" black foam float.
Slammed it in, adjusted according to standard specs, and I'm a happy camper!
Good advice.
Thanks, Cotten, and all the folks here that already know this.

Re: Not a Shameless Plug - Just good Advice
Dave,
I feel your pain...
My brass float was nothing but a boat anchor...........(M-88 Carb for my WLA)
And once I found out about Cotton, & Peek seals and his float......well.... just had to have it.
I am in Germany, and Cotten made Peek seals in the blind (just by measurments I took), for my NOS intake.
Fit Perfect!!
And a float..also fits perfect, and it floats.
No more problems
Life's good
