Carb insulator
I often ride my '48FL chopper to work and go from 50 mph to suddenly caught in long creeping lines at backed up 4-way stops. On the 90 degree days we've had lately, the Linkert is perculateing by the time I get about half way to the stop. My carb to manifold gasket is one thin paper gasket so I'm wondering if a thick insulator type would help much. But it seems to me that most of the heat the carb absorbs is coming off the heads rather than being conducted through the manifold . ? What do ya think ?
