Depending on if it's a late or early version,it will have IND or the state name in full, but they're all marked USA.

All the repops I've seen are 3 line with USA.

Chuck!

Its hard to tell from that resolution;
the bowl looks more suspicious to me!
(And the chokeshaft nut should be 5/16" and cad,... etc.)

Your stamp on top is a "big" B without serifs, right?

The A should be almost directly below the I in "IN".
I have one example on the shelf, where the A is slightly more spaced, and tilted a degree, indicating a repaired or breaking pattern.

Maybe it fell all the way off.
Yours looks like its pattern had a damaged L, too.

Is there any trace of H-4 stamped into the lower manifold flange?
(Often it is ground away, but it is a clue.)

Without holding it in my hands, I must not pass judgement on any of it.

Chuck!

Does your bowl have grind marks where two halves of a mold produced a "flash"?

PS: Not all models show grind marks, especially not earlier SV models, but nearly all of the M74 series seems to have them.

Yes the bowl has those grind marks, The pic of that carb is not too good, Here is where it says it was made " INOP S US " Where ever that is. That carb now lives on the shelf with some other junk I have.

Chuck!

INDLPS is a city in central Indiana.

It's spelled out on some models.

Does the B have serifs?

Odds are in favor of your carb being real.
But the bowl still bothers me!

while INDLPS is a place, INOP S US is no place at all. odd there would be missing letters in the casting, the O could be a D I guess. none the less, carb will stay on the shelf, Im convinced its got bad mojo and would not wish it on anyone. has caused me too much grief. It has a .223 with its name on it. just kidding, May see it on Ebay one day. I have the M45A working good

CHUCK------Looking at the pic., Being thats it is painted black ,Im having a hard-time reading the words on it!,--But I know from just a glance the needle & choke step are new aftermarket pieces,-beyond that you have to check the placement of the Inscriptions as COTTON has pointed out!/-The body may or maynot be REAL!-----RICHIE
