Panhead riser cover cigarette lighter
I've seen these before but never were really sure how they mount up. It can't be on top of the riser cover, is it in back of it? Anyone have one of these so I can see a pic of how it's attached? Heres an ebay listing for one with pics. Is this an actually a harley accessory or were these an aftermarket part? Let me know!

Yes, that is a factory item out of the accessory catalog. It will fit either the front or back of the '49-'59 riser link. There is another cover that looks very similar that holds the signal light indicator for the accessory indicators.
There is also a totally different type for the '60 up aluminum riser cover.
Which type bars and cover do you have?

Post-1960 style. I'm tired of not having a way to charge my phone while out and about and I do smoke occasionally. Any pics of what the post 60 accessory lighter looks like? I've seen riser covers with a hole in the middle and a lighter in it. I always figured someone did that themselves but who knows? Let me know, Thanks!

Re: Panhead riser cover cigarette lighter
My '60 has a lighter on the riser cover. The lighter has an external thread and there is a nut that secures it to the riser from the underside. I will try to take it off and get some pics.

Cig lighter, '61, 6V. Don't know if it's accessory, retro fit or what??
I've never tried it.. Gets a few comments.

That's not a stock accessory where it is located. Looks like someone installed that sometime in the past where the steering damper would have protruded. The two holes are where a stock accessory lighter bracket would mount.Excalibur wrote:Cig lighter, '61, 6V. Don't know if it's accessory, retro fit or what??

I'll take a pic of my NOS set-up and post it one day.

Here's a photo of a pre 1960 mount. The bracket is the same for bothe the cigarette lighter and the pilot lamp I believe.
