Bubble Bag Locks Finish.

I have a set of 1954 Royalite Bubble Bags with shady worn locks on them. The locks are cad plated. Were they also supplied chrome? I ask cuz I see chromed replacements available. Would they still be correct for a 54FL?. Thanks in advance for any info.....Joe
