Rewireing 48 Pan
Rewireing my 48 Pan & have one question about the wire loom that comes out from the dash and goes to the right side of the fork. Does this loom exit above the top tank bolt , or below the top tank bolt as in the pict. Did'nt write it down & can't remember....Thanks for help...Rod

All
That picture was from my 51 FL. While I think it is accurate, I have found some "creative solutions" with this bike so having a second opinion verify would be a nice to have.

Re: Rewireing 48 Pan
Thanks Craig. Saved it to my downlaods files on my Mac but forgot to add where it came from. Think it is pretty much a good representation and am using it for my 49 rebuild

Re: Rewireing 48 Pan
G'day John
A stainless cover on the steering head lock, on an unrestored 55, and an early
one too. I like it!
I just put one into my frame and I thought it was wrong, but it was all I had.
But its right!... well good chance it maybe!
thanks for posting that shot.

Re: Rewireing 48 Pan
Attached is an extract from the 48 factory to dealer new model announcement. All the big twins shown (E, F or U) show the same routing. Routing likely changed in 49 because the hydraglide fork stops would hit the loom if routed like this ... Perry
