Brush cover strap

Post by StueyC »

I've got a Cycle Electrics 12 volt generator with the same brand regulator fitted to the end. I need a replacement brush cover. Can anyone tell me if it is the same as the brush cover found on the original later style 2 brush generator or do I need to try buy a replacement through Cycle Electrics?

I assume you are talking about the one that just covers the openings of the gen. where the brush's are. I got a chrome one from JP's and I think its the same one for a two brush gen. . An OEM one will probably be black.

Your right Fouthgear, I'm taling about the cover for the brushes. The original Cycle Electric cover had a thick plastic coating that I assume helped seal the unit from water when tightened up. I don't want to buy a replacement only to find it is a different width. I can't find a Cycle Electric P/N in any catalogue.
