Ignition switch for Hummer tank

does anyone know where i can find a ignition switch for a old hummer tank.i have run across one and thought it would ad the ol school look to my 48 has anyone ever done this on this site?thanks for any info

Thanks ill try them out.im sure you have seen what i have before,its the sporty looking tank with the ignition switch made on the top of the tank beside of the gas cap.mabe its off the 165 harley

Stock ignition switch suits fine.You probably have to put
some washers between the tank and switch to make enough clearance.
There is couple of other things to do before hummer tank fits into stock frame:tunnel is a bit too narrow so have to spread it a little,very carefully.Or do some grinding.Other thing to notice is that petcock comes very close to rear pancover.
I consider using one with reserve.Hummers gas capacity is rather small.
I've been using Hummer tank for three seasons now.
It looks fine and with linkert I'm able to get approx.
60-65miles before I run outta gas.(which happens pretty often).

well this tank has already been modified.the front opening has a piece of steel welded down the front.so the tank will set on top like a low tunnel sporty.i would like to see a picture of yours.it will help me make up my mind on doing this or not.my bike is now in a swingarm frame set up.doing great.but ready for a change.i have a rigid frame set up im going to put it in this winter.the tank mounts are gone.this hummer tank might work for me .be good to see what yours looks like.thanks

Sadly my computer equipments and skills are very limited
(I don't have digital camera)so I cant post picture to gallery.Yet.
But I'll think that you can find some pics from Dutchman's euro chopper site?Or Duckmans site both are dutch chopper sites with plenty of pics allaround europe.
I now that there is many bikes with Hummer tanks in Sweden and at least one in Finland(mine).
The Horse mags issue number 26 got one which is mounted Frisco style.
Personally I like it even better mounted deeper,in line with frame.

i just checked out your sites wild looking bikes.i also typed in the search box on my computer[chopper with hummer tank]and found one from street chopper mag. looks like i will probably go on and use it.do you have a regular big twin ignition switch.on yours? thanks for info.

Yep.
I have a regular ignition switch.Mountin screw pattern is exactly same...

thanks i guess that does it for me i know i have got a old switch in a box somewhere thanks for all the halp.gonna post a picture of what i have now and my next project here soon.look for something ugly and you will know its mine.
