Hi all.
I'm thinking my Delco remy regulator is overcharging.
Numbers on regulator base tab is N 6V 995 BL.
This is on a standard 1963 FLH.
All looks good inside. Air gaps ( 2 ) are in spec.
Cut out ( top winding) works well but the bottom contacts remain closed. Is this normal?
By relieving the spring pressure on the bottom winding will this allow contacts to more freely open?
When these contacts are open does the charging to battery get reduced?
Hope this makes sense to what I'm trying to explain.
Regards,
B.B.
