6V POLICE REGULATOR

#1

Post by FL58 »

Hello,

I have a 6v police regulator with a 58R generator.
The Delco Remy regulator is stamped :

on one side :
6VN
8J

on the other side :
1119
187 C

does someone knows what "8J" means ?

If it is not working correctly can it be replaced by the same one stamped :
6VN
4L
1119
187 F

or not ?

sincerely

This may help.

automotive regulators may work. however you may need to transfer the resistors on the back of the regulator as they set the base charging rates.
