coil terminal block insulation
Does anyone know where to find just the coil terminal block insulation? Looks like cardboard. Not sure if I could make my own up or if it needs to be a specific type of insulation. Has a waxy feel to it. Thanks, Captain80.

Re: coil terminal block insulation
captain80,
The originals and the reproduction ones are made from fish paper. Fish paper is used in the electrical and electronics industry. I've also used it to add a line of accent color in knife handles. It's a paper product that is impregnated with some sort of resin which makes it water-proof. If you can't find any fish paper, you might try using some oil and water resistant gasket material. You should be able to pick that up a your local auto parts store.

I wound up buying a new Colony terminal box because the insulation paper was whacked and I had problems with the fiber washers I had also. You can get those too but have to search for them. I just took the easy route.
