65 FL wiring question

I decided to rewire my 65 .
There are so many burnt, and bypassed wire's that, it's going to be easier to start from scratch.
Everything worked, when I tore into it.
I got my wiring kit from Old Dude. Just the main harness, the blinker stuff is still decent.
I'm using the wiring diagram from my Harley manual.
I loosened up the tail light wire's, everything worked before. There's 5-6 different colored wire's, spliced together. I have everything loosened up to individual wire's.
There is no cloth coating on the tailight wire's. Even where they go into the socket.
Finally my question.
Since I don't know which wire is green, or red, does it make any difference, when I go to attach them to the wiring board, behind the coil? The two wire's go to different spot's on the board.
If you have the fender lifted up, is the red wire on the right side or the left side of the socket, as your looking toward's the front of the bike?

Green is tail light, red is brake light.

Connect red to red, red is usually brake in the socket.
Test on first ride, if reversed swap wires in terminal box or tail light.

The location of the hole and grommet for the turnsignals changed for '65, I believe.
Can you take a photo of yours, so that I can sort out the two sets of tins that I am having painted?

Thanks for the info guy's.
I got it figured out.
Had to use the 68-69 wiring diagram to figure out where the blinker's, and spot's went.
Everything is now working.
Time to move on.

I tried, my image is way to big, and it won't attach.
I don't have a clue how to shrink it.
Can I send it to someone more computer savvy, and have them attach it?
Any volunteer's?
Or someone to walk me through shrinking the image.
You guy's have to remember I ride old Harley's, 2 Cylinder JDs, and a 69 Chevy C10. As technical as I get, is a timing light.
What I can tell you, is that the blinker light's go through there own grommeted hole, through the fender itself. One hole through the grommet.
The taillight wire has one grommet with two hole's in it, it goes through a separate plate. This plate has 3 rivets through it.
Does that make sense?

Don't feel bad, I just screwed up my PM as to who I wuz typing to...
and my last photo upload showed as a negative image!

I use a simple old-fashioned photoeditor (EZPHOTO, which came with an HP inkjet printer), and re-sizing, as well as editing down to the pixel, is a breeze compared to newer over-complicated photo editors.
You probably received a photoeditor upon your camera's CD or whatever, and it may be the most direct way to re-size photos.
Although it may take hours to digest the manual.
It took jury duty for me to figure out mine, and then I chose not to use it.

Adobe suxs too.

A lot of cameras are set at a resolution where every pic is nearly 4MB
Two or three of those can sequester my dial-up for an hour at 2 cents a minute!

if you are running windows go to the microsoft web site and download the image resizing tool.

then all you need to do is right click on an image and select the resize option. it will make a smaller copy right next to the original photo in the file you store your pictures in.

it is really easy without all the photo editing software.
