pulling panhead motor

pulling panhead motor

Is it possible to pull out a pan motor without taking off heads?It is in a later shovel frame.

Yes, but be careful to use your legs and not your back!

Better than that, Just do what I did----I called my son. It was the easiest engine I ever put into a frame..

Depending on the state of the rest of the bike, you can always carefully lay the bike on it's side, remove the bolts, and then just lift up the frame, leaving the motor nice and tidy on the floor...
