Leaky breather: it pukes out way more than a mist

#1

Post by leaky »

Got a little over 100 miles on a rebuilt 50 fl. Have shut off the chain oiler, but when running it pukes out way more than a mist.Put 20 miles on yesterday and when I stopped the oil was running out of the primary drip hole...must have been a couple of ounces.
what's up!!! any help would be appreciated .

I must suggest that you pull off the cam cover and check the timing marks on your geartrain. It sounds very much like your breather gear is off more than a tooth.

If you find your breather timing is correct then look under Panhead Modified about 8 to 10 threads down "Help with oil running out of chain oiler"
I had similar problems, it might help.
Good luck
