colony engine mount bolts...
So I drop my engine in the frame to mock up my oil lines with my 48 oil pump....the colony kit bolts wont drop in past the threads...shoulder is to big. Any one have this issue? I guess I need to have the shoulders machined down....shame, nice repro ...1035 cp and all.

Re: colony engine mount bolts...
Adam,
Try your bolts in the cases sliding up, not down, before you modify them. Many times if incorrect bolts were used in the past the aluminum on top crushes slightly to the size of shaft on the incorrect bolt. Sometimes there is just a slight rim on top and a reamer or machinists scraper will remove it allowing correct fit. And be sure to put the front ones in from the bottom up when doing it for real!

Re: colony engine mount bolts...
Thanks Robbie, I'll give that a try...The front bolts did fit from the bottom up, but I was not sure if the shoulder was passing or not. Ill pull the bottom end out and give it a try from under. I know colony makes great stuff, I was suprised.

Re: colony engine mount bolts...
Was it like Robbie said, an issue with the case, or the bolts? What did you have to do? Thanks
