Re: pan intake manifolds
O-ring manifolds are cast iron for 1955-57 (HD #27029-55), and aluminum for 1958-65 models (HD #27027-55A). Both styles have the raised letters "27027-55" cast into the top.

Re: pan intake manifolds
KOOL. THANKS FOR THE ENTRY. I READ THAT AS WELL. I AM INCLUDING A PHOTO OF THE INTAKE I HAVE . I WAS WONDERING IF THIS IS THE STOCK TYPE PART. IT HAS NUMBER CHARACTERS I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH, THE SHAPE OF THE CHARACTERS LOOKS DIFFERENT TO ME, BUT THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS I JOINED THIS FORUM WAS TO TALK TO PEOPLE WHO KNOW. THANKS
HARLEY

Re: pan intake manifolds
I CANNOT GET IT TO GO THROUGH. THE NUMBER CAST INTO THE INTAKE IS 27027-55A AND IT SEEMS TO HAVE CAST IN REENFORCEMENT RIBS ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE CARB FLANGE. IT CAME FROM A 64 PAN AND I ALSO HAVE A NOS ONE IN AN AMF BOX WHICH IS IDENTICAL.
