Manifold spacer ?

#1

Post by mcraeav »

I am haveing trouble starting my 62 when hot; starts first kick cold. I am getting ready to pressure test manifold and noticed my Bendix carb is bolted direct to manifold with a paper gasket and no spacer. Should I get a spacer for it and also what are the best clamps/gaskets for the manifold to cylinder to use?

My 64 has to be mounted with two stock gaskets on either side of the spacer; and a carb support bracket on bottom. And the manifold and carb flange surfaces need to be flat.
