Choke Rod

#1

Post by steve_wood »

The linkert insulator thread tweaked something in my memory...

Anybody have problems with the choke rod rubbing on the intake manifold? Mine does. Can't see any way to fix it except for bending the rod or maybe putting spacers inbetween the heads and the bracket that the rod attachs to. But this will only lift it up maybe 1/8" and it will probably still rub.

Looked in the knowledge base but didn't see anything....

Thoughts?

I have looked at many pictures and many bikes over the years to see if they are supposed to have spacers between the head and the top motor mount.
What I see is yes they do.
Without these spacers the choke rod will rub.

If I could figure out how to put a picture attached to my message I would show you.

this is the best picture I have showing the spacers under the engine mount.
