parts missing?

#1

Post by henriksonne »

I read somewhere on the net, that the idle mixture screw on the back of a CV carb, sits in the housing with a spring, washer and O-ring.
I only have the the screw and the spring, no washer, no O-ring. Are these cruzial parts that I am missing?
Does anyone know where I might find a exploded view of the CV? Would be nice to seem if all other parts were in place.

Seal may still be in the carb body.Unless you have the carb off ,it will be hard to check. mirror maybe.

Henricksonne, do you happen to own any Harley service manuals from 1988 up? They all show several cuts through the cv...Mike

carb is off, on the table up-side down, and with a flash light I have checked the no washer and no O-ring is present.
I dont have a service manual, but if anyone knows where I might find an exploded view online, I would appreciate it.

Sucks.......john doesn't ship overseas!

Can anyone help with the measurements for tha O-ring and the washer. should be able to buy the O-ring through work, the washer I might be able to make by myself.
