Just stupid people, maybe I can ask an elementary question on something I forgot. I've got a Keihin carb on my '53, and the throttle cable is run between the tank and out to the throttle grip. Whenever I turn the handlebars extreme left or right, I get an idle increase.
The question is;
Is the correction done by adjusting the throttle cable with more slack?
Should I free the cable completely from the carb to the grip?
I'm at work and haven't touched the bike yet, so I'm brainstorming so I don't waste time that I can spend riding....
Thanks in advance, and don't laugh too loud!
Keihin carb throttle cable adjustment

Re: Keihin carb throttle cable
53, Good question, As this happens here & there.
Is your external cable catching on anything when turning the bars ?? Check for this..Sounds like it might be..If so route it freely away from things & re-try.
If this is a 'new set-up' maybe you need a cable a bit longer.
Anyway, if neither of the 2 suggestions are it. Try loosening the adjustment, but no more than a correctly adjusted cable should be. AKA. No extra slack in cable..
Or throttle won't go WFO=Wide Farting Open
Let US know how it's going..
