There's a technical term for that: "stupid mistake".

So each carb feeds one cylinder? Or is the intake straight thru like a regular one...

If you look at the pics you see that each intake is separate. Not a bad idea. But the throttle linkage was likely a nightmare for most folks to deal with and it also looks odd. Not so good for a more conservative audience in the '50s. Nowadays some jackhole would label it"old school" and sell a million of them whether they worked or not!
Just my opinion!

You gotta point Robbie!,--I think back at the salt-flats at wideopen ,it prbably helped!,Being Linkerts are not the first choice for setting your ass back in the seat  .---Imagine tuning that thing/ then raceday comes airdensity changes & you get to do it all over again.---Nice piece for a wall hanging.,I like it but the $$$ that will generate/no thanks---Richie 8)

Saw one twenty plus years ago in WA at John Burgin's shop. Me and a buddy built our own dual Linkert (separate manifolds) on each side set up for a 39 knuckle we took to Boneville in 89. Saw John's on our retrurn trip.
