Mike,
If your "occupation" is cleaning air cleaners OSHA may be interested, otherwise your on you own.
It does sound dangerous.

Re: J slot
Cotten, anyone doing good repro air cleaners? Someone stole mine from my garage a few years ago, and I'm still losing sleep over it!, All the ones I see on E bay are beat to Hell, and are out of range price wise, I could have sworn mine had an ingraved cleaning instructions, must have been off an earlier bike? Thanks for your input as always, Adam

Re: J slot
oops... parkerized is correct.I thought the mounting plate was parkerized
Adam,
Original J slot cleaners have a rivited on tag.
Here is a repo.
You have to drill holes (I think) and attach tag.

Re: J slot
Adam!
The stamped-instructions covers were all later productions, with a center screw I thought.
I wish I had a memory, but I leave it to other folks on this forum who have their references closer at hand,... such as Palmer's,...
We hope anyway.
As far as reproductions today, the market is stifled by H-Ds jealous hold upon their trademark, so I would not expect a quality piece at a reasonable price in the forseeable future.
