G'day Radarv,

Unless it's servi-car, but, there is not one thing there that's familiar.
a splined brake cam lever? Pommy stuff at a guess, or you might say Limmey.

It's solid, for sure. Maybe it came from Springfield, Mass.

Cheers

thats kind of what I was thinking. it looks sort of familiar.at first I thought it may be ford model A or T but those are larger & they dont have a block on them to keep from rotating. someone at sometime sawed that off this one. it looks like motorcycle to me. its made out of cast iron also. not stamped steel. thanks, radar

The block or lug for the control arm is similar to my '34 Chief, but the Chief's arm is curved, and there there is a "star" of reinforcement ribs radiating from the center of the backing plate. The straight arm is familiar, but its been a decade since I played with a Scout (and I can barely remember last week.)

thanks pete, cotten, & joe, I did some web searching & found out its a rear brake assy for a 1944-53 indian chief. I dont know why it was in with the pan parts I got with my project. the guy I got it from never had any indians. nice surprise though. someone may need this at some point. if so, I have one I would be willing to trade off. At least I now know what it is. thanks again guys, radar
