Brake lines

#1

Post by 1964 pan »

After many years of running a square swingarm rear disc brake setup I am in the process of putting the round swingarm drum brake back on. I got the steel brake lines from V-Twin. But the middle steel line is not matching up to the tee fitting. It looks like it is bent the wrong way? Does anyone have or know where I can find a good picture of the routing/mounting on the bike of the stock tee/brake line/light switch junction? Thanks.

I found a picture here on our tech base and a couple of stock pans on ebay that helped out. I been messing with this stuff long enough to know that this after market crap has to be "made to fit" by the owner.

be careful when you tighten up the brake switch and brake lines to Tiawan Teds T fitting that the bracket to the frame doesn`t brake off.

The rear brake line I bought from V twin was one of the better pieces I got from them. I did route it through the footboard bracket ( knock out in the bracket itself)to get to inside the frame tubes and didn't even have to bend the pipe to get everything to line up. I bought mine about 7 years ago, so things may have changed.
