G'day,
Does anyone know about the (approx 52-63 era) aluminium brake lever perch?
It seems to me that when 52 rolled around and you had one of those "new fangled footshifts' they moved the brake
lever straight over to the right bar and never made any right hand side perch castings.
All the ones I have seen on the right side are left side brake lever perches upside down of course.
Is there such a thing as a right side handlebar aluminium brake lever perch in the mentioned year range ?
Good on ya!

old1955
I don't think they changed a thing, they just flipped one of them upside down. If you look at an original bike from the era you will see that the lever mounted on the right side has the pivot screw nut on the upper side, the one mounted on the left will have the slotted screw head on the upper side.
Same lever, all the same components, one is upside down. I have a completely original 1958 and it looks like that's the way it came from the factory.
