front brake spring
in buying front brake parts on ebay I have come up with 2 shoe spring sizes I have been running the smaller spring for many years, now I have what looks the same and is same lenth but bigger body and wire dia. from pictures on line looks like a 1969 part# , one set of springs came with right side brake the other rear sporster. do you think this is an upgrade replacement? that I should use?

Re: front brake sring
I BOUGHT THE SAME PARTS TO REBUILD MY FRONT BRAKE AND GOT THOSE HEAVIER SPRINGS LIKE YOU HAVE THERE. I THINK THEY ARE TOTALLY WRONG. I HAD TO PUT THE OLD ONES BACK ON. I SPENT HOURS TRYING TO GET THOSE SPRINGS ON THE SHOES BUT NEVER COULD. THEY ARE WAY TOO TIGHT.

Re: front brake sring
You got to remember, bigger springs dont make the brakes work any better.Thier only for return.
