And I just found another one. Reading it I really hate it but why not ask $40,000,000.00 for it? I think the Kid should just keep it.

That has got to be the worst number boss I've ever seen. looks like they machined it off the original case & tried to overlay
it. I've seen real repairs that cracked thru the numbers look better.

Edit:
I just sent the seller a question Topic: Steel Balls
"Dude that has to be the worse number boss ever posted on E-Bay. The welding & grinding are so obvious. Bidders are basing their bids on the rest of the parts & throwing the left case away."

I'll let you know any replies.

I'm not trying to defend the guy, or say that there is anything right about that left case, but you have to admit he's not trying to hide anything. The pictures are good and there's plenty of them, both the bad VIN boss and the belly numbers are clearly visible for all to see.

It looks to me that the timing hole plug was also welded up somewhere down the road, that may have been part of some other case repairs and the reason the VIN boss is so messed up, who knows. I would almost bet that the seller is well aware of what that welded-up, flattened-off, restamped earlier VIN number has done to the value of those cases, that's why they are on ePay right now. Some sucker will buy that motor and the bad cases will no longer be his problem.

once again, BUYER BEWARE!

I was hoping one of the Serial Number Guru's would chime in... Besides the boss being poorly done, the numbers look too nice and straight. I had to look to see how many '49s were produced... 'cause the 7,000 production number seemed high. (There was 12,685 1949's produced.)

This engine has recently been apart, it's way to clean to have a lot of miles on it. All the aluminum is pretty bright.

If you watched the video, I wish he'd let it idle.

Digging more... The Seller on ebay knows what he's selling. He has parted out the entire bike and listed it all the parts. Checking his other parts there's just a few pieces left from about 5 other newer bikes he's parted out. In my many years of dealings, I've killed some deals because there was something I didn't like (about the buyer). I honestly don't think I could sell this guy any motorcycle I own (unless it was a Hated POS).
