Sadly, NO....I have no pics. this was my 25th Consecutive Panhead Party and I quit taking pictures Long ago. Basically it is the anniversary of my Brother Ross's purchase of his pan 39 years ago and has morphed into an annual Gathering of the Good Ole days Crew from the St. Pete area. A Family reunion, if you will. The Record was 36 Pans about 5-6 years ago! This year we had at least one '48 and 2 '65's, so the Whole Range was represented! If you want to see it I guess you just have to come to West Central FL the first Saturday after Daytona ends. It's THE Spring social Event not to be missed, however for some Strange reason it seems to end Earlier and Earlier every year!!

Yeah.....that's what it is. wishful thinking. If you have never seen that many Pans in one place then you haven't been around that long.

Plenty of Pans among the guys I know. And most are ridden pretty regularly, a few as regular transportation. Knuckles, Big Flatheads, Chiefs and Scouts as well. When we get together there can be a lot of bikes, and when friends come from out of state to spend some time riding they often bring more than one if they have to trailer in. Last get together weekend ride we had 21 bikes among 14 guys. Put on a thousand miles in 4 days.
And at AMCA national road runs there are lots of Pans, as well as many other bikes. There are usually between 100-120 antique bikes at any of the Road Runs. Often the H-Ds are outnumbered by Indians. We are doing another Rocky Mtn Chapter RR in 2013. Road runs are the best way to see and to use the old iron.

They are out there, but it is almost like a secret society. It all has to do with being a dedicated vintage guy. It will come to you if you live it. If you hang out at "Bike Night", Dealer BBQs, and the like it isn't going to happen. Security is a big issue, so trust is paramount. And leave any attitude you may consciously or unconsciously carry around with you at home. Vintage guys are not impressed!!

Yeah, they're out there but most of them, myself included, are sick of the young guys without a clue looking at your vintage piece and asking "what year Evo is that?". The only real places around this area to hookup with other vintage guys are the swap meets and some of the local private party's, even then, most of the riders are wearing colors riding Evo's, or are just too young to understand. Bottom line is, the generation we're used to is fading away, either too old to ride or dead. You can own a vintage scoot, doesn't necessarily mean you understand the culture that these old machines truly represent.
