Post by 1950Panhead »

1) 1/4-24 x 1 bolts with bevel, 5/16 head.
2) 5/16 x 1.125 fine bolts with square head.
3) Bracket with three holes.

The square head bolts look like the ones used for the buddy seat helper springs clips
that go under the seat.

DuoGlide62,

Good answer. They should have a cotter pin hole through them. They set in the channel under the seat. That way they don't turn when tightening the pot metal wing nut. And the pin keeps the nut from falling off when it does come loose.

The 41-54 parts manual shows #2329 oval head screw for the lifter blocks.
Are the hex head bolts aftermarket or a later year?
