old Harleys at Newport Hill Climb

#1

Post by 108 »

Here is a link to a video of the antique bikes that competed in the Newport Hill Climb this October in Newport Indiana

There is a festival and car show and old cars running the hill non-stop on Sunday. You can mill around in the staging area among the cars and bikes warming up. Always a great time !!

Thanks Flathead, Thats the same one. I'll try to find a newer video . If your not to far away, youn need to go there next year, its a hoot!! I dont know of anyplace else where you can see everything from track "t"s to Stanley Steamers run at full throttle! They just started letting pre-'35 bikes run a few years ago.

You must take the code after v= and put that between the youtube brackets, without the &etc stuff.

Newport Indiana is west if Indy and almost to the Illinois state line, north of state road 36 on 61. The HillClimb, festival , craft booths, food vendors and car show takes up the whole town. The cars are supposed to be original and "visualy un-modified', but everyone knows many of the Ford v8's have been hopped up. Only the model Ts are alowed any modifications you want,. There is always a dozen or more '20's style Track Ts are usualy some entertaining "breakage" at the starting line .
