55 panhead emblem and D-rings

iI was wondering what was 55 FLH emblem made of? and this year at Davenport IA I found twu different D-rings 1 with one rib 6 holes and one with two ribs 6 holes I know the one rib 6 hole is 55 pan but what was the two rib 6 hole for?

hi hibuck,

first welcome to the forum!

the emblem is a stamping, brass. it has a frosty chrome finish. the d rings should have one rib.

here are some shots of an unrestored '55 that was at davenport a few years back.

Here is one from a barn fresh 55 that was on Ebay a year or two ago. Some frosty chrome evident. But it could be a good layer of tarnish on the bronze.

The front and back of original '55 FL and KH emblems, the factory chrome is still visible. The chrome was just a flash and wore off quickly. most emblems are missing it'

did the 55 FL FLH KH have Fox Co. cinn. Oh on them ? like the 54 emblems?
