I haven't started or ridden my 59 in probably 2 months.
Went out this afternoon with a polish rag, some fresh gas and some starting fluid.
3 kicks and its ticking over like it was run last nite!
These are great machines that we have!

They are great bikes ! keep that starting fluid away from it though unless your looking for trouble that you dont need.... Good ole pan proporlly tuned shouldnt need anything other than a couple primming kicks with the choke on "ignition off" then open the choke 2 or 3 clicks crack the throttle 1/4 open , turn on the switch give er a kick and away she goes !! at least thats been my experience for 30 + years ... have a great day !

I can relate, just got back from working up north. Went to my friends garage where my girl sitting, couple primer kicks and she woke, started bitchin' at me, where ya bin??. Yeah yeah, I moaned, let's go. Clutch in, lever to 1, gone. What can I say! On the road, cole
