Has anyone seen these bars on a pan before, the picture is of a 51 FL.
My guess is that they were added to help pull the bike onto the center stand.

Looks like previous owners add on accessory from farm equipment or his kitchen.

Whooee thats genuine nickle plated pateena.
Probably cabinet hardware, but leave 'em alone!
The lower you strap on a 12pack, the less it effects handling.
