My favorite is illustration #8, one guy is actually standing on the legs of the fixture table and the other guy has an 8 foot cheater bar attached to the frame neck trying to bend the thing back into alignment.

Do any of the current dealerships offer that kind of service? I have a couple of bent items that I would like to have straightened.

as long as we're talking about old world craftsmanship, I've sent this picture to Tom Faber twice and never received an answer. This is a set of JD/VL handlebars that are good in evrey aspect except the tweak in the right side of the bars. It looks as though the bike may have been dropped on the right side and the bars were bent upward at a point between the spiral and the boss where the control coil exits.

If I can't find somebody who knows what they are doing, or who has the right equipment, to straighten these, I'm going to take them to a buddy of mine that runs a muffler shop and see if he has some mandrels that will fit the diameter of the bars and push them back into shape.
