Words of warning.
I pulled a trailer with my 65 in the '70s. Full bags, tourpak, and trailer hitch weight.
I left on a trip to Key West, less than 1200 miles later the bearings were gone in the
rear Star Hub. I had only used a soap based grease. Modern EP lubricants would
probably stay much better.

Wish I'd kept that trailer.

I'd like to see the lights on the back of Rene's trailer, it looks like the fender light on the pan is pretty well obscured by the trailer. The hitch looks like it uses the side supports for the service stand. The horizontal part is ABOVE the duck-tail on the fender tip, kind of interesting.

Thanks to all for the replies--
Here is the light.
It looks like the hitch fastens to the rear stand loops and is bolted to the lower part of the fender?
I would like to figure out a way to keep the rear stand, and not bolt to the fender. the fender already gets a lot of abuse with the luggage reck and saddlebags.

If the hitch is made to mount in the sidecar mounting holes of the frame and triangulated with both the upper and lower holes there is no need to attach to the fender at all and no reason to remove the rear stand. the holes are symmetrical and easy to access for quick removal or attachment!
