Mechanic recommendations in Upstate NY

Post by doc308 »

My 1950 FL motor could use a lower end rebuild. Does anyone know of any good, reliable, trustworthy mechanics in my region who could do a good job? I'm around the Albany , NY area.

Don't know anyone personally in that area, I'm in NYC and my local dealer still works on Pans and Shovels. I do though, do all my own work but I know the head mechanic and been friends with the Parts Manager for 25 years. I see Pans & Shovels in the shop all the time.

Now, getting back on track you can probably get a really trustworthy recommendation for the Albany area from both Scott at Hillside Cycle (can't remember the town but surrounding Albany) and Joe at Joe's Cycle in Mechanicville. both have been around a long time, are top notch guys and straight & honest. Scott's shop may still work on Pans, I know he still does Shovels.

Good Luck
