Question for Rammy Kimberly

Rammy, I see the pictures of your 51 on this site and wondered what color that is? That is one beautiful bike. If you have the paint code for whatever color that is I would appreciate it. Hope you're still watching this site. Anybody else know? Thanks, Jim

If it is an original 1951 color then it must be Rio Blue.

That's what I was thinking, but it looks very bright compared to the "chip" on the paint page, and was unsure. I want that color, whatever it is for my '54. The bike's not original so I'm not concerned with correctness. That is a great color to me. If it is the Rio Blue, how do I go about getting paint for it? I don't see Harley colors listed in the paint books. Would my painter be able to get the codes if I just give him the color name? Thanks, Jim

The color of the 51 in the picture appears to be the 53 variety. Rio Blue is lighter in color and has more green in it.
