1. At first I thought the axle flats were in the wrong place on this axle. Installed in one position, the locator-flat on the axle puts the sharp facet-edge of the hex-boss against the adjusting screw tip from the frame. However, examining the axle you will see that there are four flats, not two. You only need to re-adjust the hex-flats position to put the axle right. This is a good axle.
2. The '58-66 spacer bore is too small to allow the axle to pass through at the step. Purchased 3/22/04 from V-Twin part # (44-0339)

'54 Throttle Spiral
All of the AM spirals are un-useable. V-Twin offers a complete set of handlebars with spirals and switches installed (VT 25-0600). Has anyone ever bought this assembly? If so, would you mind tearing it apart to do some reverse engineering for us? How did they make the push spiral fit? The channel in the spiral is too shallow. (VT 49-0158)

AM Knuckle Gas Tank Crossover Gas Line
The crossover gas line between the Knuckle tanks is too short. Tank spigots are in the wrong place, but you can sweat the line out of the banjo fittling and make up a new cad plated 3/16" automotive brake line, flare it and sliver-solder the raw steel end into the banjo fitting.
