I went by the dealer down the block to get some cleaner, when I ran into my friend that works there, he asked if I was on my bike , and that he wanted to introduce me to some ladies that were there to speak Sunday , turns out they were some of the original motor maids! They came out to look at my bike ,Gloria had a 1950 she bought new , and she was explaining the starting procedure she used, and how she painted the piping on her saddlebags with nail polish! Priceless! She told me of her many trips from NJ to Daytona , and how she used to run about 80 mph long before the interstates down the back roads. I started the pan , of course after asking her if she wanted to kick it over, she's 88 and still riding long distances , often to sturgis And Daytona . Awesome experience , living motorcycle history
