guess i should explain.
EVERY friday 13th, bikers from all over canada and the states go to port dover in ontario on the shore of lake erie. in the summer there is up to 200 thousand people and the winter about 200 people. the wife and i go all the time. its the biggest event around here (ontario), nothing like you guys enjoy but a good time none the less. it hasnt gotten to commercialized yet so its a good place to meet and hang out.
its a one day event, morning till night, rain or shine, winter or summer!!!!
the town folk are awesome, real accomodating and will help you in any way possible.i gotto go.ride into town with all roads closed exept for bikes, any bikes but 80% are harleys, cars have to part and get bused in,
its 5 deg celcius, good enough. ill try to send pics of last year but dont have much time.
THERE IS ANOTHER ONE JULY 13TH
ill post again with pics and maybe explain how this all got started.
stay tuned and keep july in mind.
ride on!

its saturday the day after
had a good time. whaether was cold and the turn out was down because of this. about 50,000 people again they figure. july will be good, they estimate 200-250k.
i only spotted one pan though. a 1949, not to say there wernt more. they are hard to see from the bar.attached is a couple pics of the pan and others.
it all began in1981 when chris simons suggested to a few of his buddies that they get together for a couple beers at the commercial hotel (now known as angelos of dover). they decided to meet that friday, which happened to be the 13th. between asking a few other friends and word of mouth the message got out among area bikers.
the groupof about 25 bikers had such a good time they decided to meet there every friday the 13th. and the rest is history in the making.
