The new '59
Hey all, just wanted to share. I've been on the lookout for some time for a decent Pan but finally found one only a few hours from home that lit the fire. Pretty much original, decent correct repaint, 6V changed to 12V and top done to accept no lead gas. I know the black bags are not correct for the year but he had the white ones with rack and hardware. For now I'm just leaving the black on as I like em. He also had all kinds of other stuff in a big bin which I picked up as well. Some useful, some probably not. Cruises great, need to adjust the clutch and check a few other items. When the rains settle in, a lot will come apart to inspect and/or replace. Brakes are the high priority as the PO only had it for about a year and a half and didn't know what condition they were in, only that they worked...........
Starts great when cold, needs half throttle open when hot. Usually...... Here's a pic. I'll put more in an album later. The rear turn indicators weren't hooked up and I removed them. Weird.

Re: The new '59
beautiful bike! leave the black bags on it and ride it. Good choice in removing the boat trailer lights, someday you'll find a set of DH-49's and a bracket.

Re: The new '59
Thanks for the good words gents. One of the extras I snagged was a correct rack and hardware so you can strap stuff down over the rear fender. I'll snipe the right mounting brackets off the white bags and see how it looks, probably during winter.
